I'm sure y'all get tired of new users coming strait to this section and creating a new thread, but what's one more? I applied for UT Austin on October 1st and got my online acceptance on October 9th. Not a bad turn-around. I'm applying to Cockrell for Mechanical Engineering and now I'm just waiting on their decision. Stats: GPA 3.95 (5.0 scale) Ranked 20 of 253 (top 8%) 1350 SAT (math ...

UT Status Check will only tell you about your acceptance into UT, not honors program. i.e. when I was accepted into Engineering, a message appeared on my Status Check along the lines of "Congratulations! You have gained admission into UT Austin's Cockrell School of Engineering - Biomedical Engineering." All the Honors Programs, I think, send notification through snail mail or e-mail. None do it ...

I don't believe that you can possibly say that UT is "superior" based on this number even if UT were to be ranked 1. In fact I was accepted into Cockrell about 2 months ago and GTech recently, however I am not making my decision based on numbers from a ...

JULIA grew out of Zonka's own alcoholism, as he explains in an interview . He has said he would never have made it without that. It incorporates stories he heard in AA meetings. The movie is ...

@heinochus As far as I'm concerned, I dont think Cockrell SOE gives scholarships for high school seniors- I think those are limited to undergrads who apply via the Engineering Scholarship application. Edit: Never mind.... I guess this is there first year giving merit-based scholarships to Engineering prospectives
