Mac mini out to 192kHz coaxial I'm using a Mac mini to feed ALAC and studio masters through a PS Audio DAC to a pair of B&W 804S. I've been using an optical TOSLINK to connect the Mac mini to the DAC and at 44.1kHz it sounds great. 96kHz is the highest sample rate I can use through optical and it is somewhat jittery, so I'd ...

How to input Coaxial digital from dvd player to output as "monitor" to speakers? Ok, another question.. sorry for asking so much in one day, I sound like spamming.. I have a dvd player that outputs coaxial, I assume SPDIF or PCM. So I also have the SB009x Audigy (10k2) with the AUD_EXT (the 40 pin older connector, NOT the ...

Hey all. I'm looking to replace my SB Audigy 2 with a card that actually works well with Linux (see: get constant static out of PCM channel). I only have a spare coax input on my receiver which is what the current card is plugged into. One that I found is this Asus card: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...IN#detailsp ecs It seems a little pricey for my needs but has ...

I’m fairly new to the concept of running S/PDIF out of the SB to a DAC. So far, I’m really pleased with the results. I’m thinking ahead to the SB Touch and I’m contemplating installing the Touch on a wall. This would make my S/PDIF (RCA/coaxial) cable run back to the DAC quite long – potentially 25 feet – perhaps slightly more. What are the issues around data integrity (jitter etc.) ...

Hi there. I currently have a very old av reciever, the Yamaha RX-V592RDS system. It has a 5.1 6ch discrete input in the back of it, and I used to connect my old DVD player to that, and I used to experience full surround sound through Pro Logic. Now, I have bought a newer player, and it only has a digital coaxial out on it. Is there any way I can connect 5.1 sound to my amplifier from the ...

Hi guys, new to the forum, I am currently working on building a new rig both on budget. Has anyone worked with the Eminence Beta 8, 10or 12cx drivers. I think you could build a nice little sub / sat setup with very small enclosures for mobile. I am curious as to how the drivers performed and if the high end dispersion was good enough for large areas as the high end driver is screwed on to the...

I'd like to sell this SuperPro DAC707 USB. It's a small champion that features TOSLink, Coaxial, I2S, and USB inputs with RCA outputs. It uses the venerable Cirrus Logic CS4398 DAC chip. It's the latest version AFAIK. I'm selling it simply because it's way too small and way too light for my needs and I've already gotten a beefy desktop setup to replace it. $85 shipped CONUS takes it. ...

Does anyone have definitive information on the three coaxial connections to the diversity antenna? It seems that there are a lot of non-functioning units out there that no-one wants to replace, including mine! Before I go bridging the PCB or inserting wires into the coax sockets, I'd like to know which color is associated with which antenna, and importantly, which have 12vdc on them. Any ...

This is a weird question but, do internal cable modems exist? Not NIC's. I mean, I was just thinking, it would be nice to be able to have a coaxial cable input sticking out of the back of my PC, rather than a separate box with separate wires. Yeah, I know I'd have to have a short one or two inch ethernet cable running from the cable ...

I cancelled my Sky subscription in the summer and would like to offload the hardware. The box is a 4yr old Sky+ box (plus remote). The dish is mounted on a concrete slab, sitting in the garden. The LNB and two coaxial cables. Also the old decoder card of course. I'm giving it away free to whoever wants to come and collect it. It's probably a two man job to shift the dish with it's slab,...
