It's called clustered threading and AMD have been talking about it for years now. I wouldn't count on it working as it was typically discussed on enthusiast web sites given the width and dedicated L1Ds.

It's called clustered threading and AMD have been talking about it for years now. Interesting to see that each Bulldozer core will have four integer pipes rather than the two the patents led us to believe. This could be a good design if AMD have architected it well.
