Hi, I'm new to Flash Media Server. I would like to find out what are the types of codes that go to the server side and what remains in the client side for like, example, a multiplayer game application. Does the server side coding deal with the main algorithms, calculations, xml parsing while the client side deals more with the interface? Is that right?

Client-side bandwidth throttling Steam used to have a really nice client-side bandwidth throttler (in its first inception, when some of us had modems). If you were playing an online game, somebody else in the household wanted to use the net, you were downloading some other stuff, or it just wasn't an emergency and you didn't need massive ...

Note, I found the answer shortly after posting this question: http://forums.iis.net/p/1154366/1926220.aspx I ran the command in dos and voila, I can now debug. -------- I have gone into the settings for my development website and set client side debugging to true, but all I get is a 500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be ...

Hi All, When trying to deploy a printer via the user preferences in a gpo the client event log has event id 4098. Client machine is a XP SP3 machine fully patched via WSUS2 SP3. The user logging on has no local account privileges on the workstation and the Client Side Extensions are installed. In the GPO I have a shared printer from the directory, set it as default and also tried ...

Hi Guy, I have deployed the 2 printers via gpo and used the 32bit pushprinterconnections.exe in the logon script. If I change the default or remove the printers they get re-installed and the preferences seem to set the defualt correctly. There are no errors in the event log. My original intent was to deploy printers via the User Preferences not group policy via Print Management. Are ...

This might be a stupid question, i'm being tasked with writing test code to drive a UI (winforms), do i need worry about any of the "Provider" side API? So i should be able to just focus on using the Client side API, while i see i would only need to worry about the "Provdier" apis if i was developing custom controls my self, or possibly the ClientProvider APIs i was actually trying to drive my...

does the file > settings | download tab > speed drop down menu - do this already? or does the approximate setting do nothing? This is a wonderful idea, but if the steam client already does this then it might not need to be implemented :P
