Both regarded as top-tier Chaplin, what are your thoughts on each and which do you prefer? City Lights: Great. One of the greatest endings of all time, and it's very well made on Chaplin's part. Needs a rewatch, though, but I remember liking it. But the fact that I don't remember it that well may say something about the movie itself. 8.5/10. Modern Times: THE best movie of the 30s. Funny, ...

Well, I managed to get to the 5K since DH and DS9 came home from their camping trip early because DH is sick. I ended up going alone, as usual, since neither of the boys felt like cheering for me. :-( Oh well... Anyway, I had a terrible time getting motivated for this race. It was at 4:00 and that's just not the time of day I usually run. So, I get there about 15 minutes before race time...

My 300SDL came with the US headlights; on top of my To-Do list was replacing them with Euros. Since I wanted to stay OEM, I got used Bosch lights but after installation, I realized that they were too worn out for me. I didn't want to spend 500 bucks on a good set of OEMs, so I gave the Depos that are available on eBay for $200 a try (so far zero complaints). Today I decided to hook up ...

Anyone else get frustrated by the lights in this city and how they are timed? It seems as soon as the light I'm at turns green the next one ahead turns red. I find the stretch along 17th ave sw between Sarcee and 85th street especially bad. This seems to cause a lot of frustration with not only myself, but many ...

Haven't seen City Lights, but I adore everything about Modern Times. Such a sweet and funny, yet meaningful little film. "I think the elevator in The Shining was having that week of the month."
