Ever since I bought my truck my high setting on my fan and AC did not work as well as my cigarette lighter. I was under my dash to fix my neutral safety switch and found the cigarette lighter wire not plugged into the fuse box. plugged it in and now my high setting on my fan and heater control works. Im guessing these are wired somehow to the same fuse. Does anyone know off hand? maybe it...

Ok, I wonder if I could just thicken the wire going to the cigarette lighter, if not I will construct something using your advice. I'm learning electrical slowly.

Does anybody know how to get the ashtray/lighter out of the front dash in a 2000 LS. This outlet is not working and is not related to a fuse. I suspect a loose wire but cannot figure out how to get too it and don't want to break the ashtray.

This isn't normal right? When I bought my 88 it had a headunit in it already but the cigarette lighter didn't work. I picked up an xm unit the other day and pulled the bezel around the radio off to find that the power for the cig lighter was cut and routed to the radio. I spliced into it and hooked it back up (power to orange and ground to orange/brown). It works fine except the second i ...

I have a 67 C-10 and bought the wiring diagram for it but I can not find the cigarette lighter anywhere on any of the diagrams. Using the search function on this site, I found a picture of the fuse box with labels. ( http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php?p=1445 016 ) Based on what little I know about electricity, I think I should connect a wire (with connector) onto the lug labeled "CIG...

Does anyone know how to unplug the cigarette lighter in a face lifted W203? The bulb burnt out, so I'm going to replace it with an LED, but I can't figure out how the electrical connector unplugs from the back of the lighter. Thanks. Somehow managed to blow the fuse in my cigarette lighter.....just wondered what fuse is needed to replace? if its just a standard fuse? lookin to replace asap due to using a sat-nav quiet alot and...well...no cig lighter no sat nav charge lol
Just as a guide, it is described as the passenger compartment fuse box, I am only pointing that out as on my car the fuse box is beneath the steering wheel not on the pasenger side. This handbook I am reading from is for my old car registered 2003 and the fuses are basically laid out in two long rows with another row running at right angles but they may have changed the layout on your...

Hey guys, All the posts are great and thank you all for the information. I guess I should've told everyone from the begining that the car is a '67 Junior that we are dropping a 1750 into. The car is far from the interior stages as it is still in pieces at the body shop and in my garage. The car is actually my dad's and I know he wanted the ashtray/lighter combo of the GTV's over just the ...
