i need some help! i just bought some baby cichlids from one of my lfs that shouldnt be able to be. I have seen ton's of websites selling African Cichlids online, but who is the best. I am looking for a large selection from Lake Malawi not crazy expensive but I want a good quality. I don't want to order and pay $200+ and get fish that look nothing like what I ordered. Could you guys and gals recommend a company that you have bought from? My LFS don't have much to offer. THX

Im starting a new freshwater aquarium. Its 38 gallons and has no fish in it yet, im still researching. I really like the electric yellow cichlids. Could you please tell me what other fish could be put in with them? And Could i use them as my starter fish to start cycling my tank? Also, how many should i get?

I ran out of food for my cichlids and cannot run out and get more food. I do have my omega one marine fish flakes that i feel my reef tank, could i feed them that for the time being? Thanks

This afternoon 2 or 3 of our African cichlids have suddenly started sitting at the bottom of the tank, as they are when we first put the lights on in the mornings. Hi, I was wondering if it would be beneficial to give cichlids some "exercise time"? For example, by adjusting a powerhead to a timer, so that a good current would flow through the tank for like, 1 hour our so. I am planning a 75g with 1 EBJD, 1 firemouth, and 1 severum. I currently have 2 S. eruptus that I am unsure what to do with. I was wondering what is the best food to help color up your cichlids. Currently I am feeding Spirulina 20. Also I have a 55 gallon tank with two 18" lights that came with the kit. I'm sure they are the basic lights since they came with the kit. What is the best kind of light and power of light that I should use for a 55 gallon to show off my cichlids color?
