I saw Children of Men for 14.99 at Target today, thinking about picking it up. Thought I would share the news which means you can get it priced matched at Best Buy if you want.

That was a great and forgotten movie that only came out 4 years ago. With all the hollywood garbage these days its refreshing to see such a great movie. That relies on script, acting, realism instead of teenage special effects.

CoM: 1 The Dep: 0 Both great movies, but Cauron really created a masterpiece, and a true classic. Scorsece already had Goodfellas and Casino, but the Departed was good enough. Dep: 8.5/10 CoM: 10/10 "One man's death is a tragedy. A million men's deaths is a strategy"- Joseph Stalin

It seems like in my life all of the couples I know the women are always the ones jockeying to start having kids to begin with, to have the second kid, to have a greater number of kids then the men would choose. The men on the other hand want kids but don't seem to have that drive that women do. So what do you think?

All the leading men on the show have custody and control of the children and through that control of the women. Tad, Ryan, David, JR (by default), and now Zach. The only female who has control of her own child is Liza and he is likely to be ripped from her arms soon. What kind of women haters are running this show?

..you don't have an understanding or appreciation of the craft of film making(this sounds pretentious but I just saw and loved Ninja Assassin just to balance things here). The chase ZombieHeathLedger mentioned is fantastic. It is not adrenaline fueled non stop action but the POV and the way it comes together was so unique. The steady cam work is also impressive. Great acting and story. The ...

Actually, I have to admit it - I liked Children of Men more than The Road. I gave it a 9 (and The Road a 7.5). I wonder if I would have felt differently about Children of Men if I'd read the book first. But, in both cases, they were intelligently made, and that's a pleasant surprise.
