No fever or other symptoms. I'm just wondering if such a mild case will give him immunity to chicken pox. The doctor I took him to said that it would probably give partial immunity... ...

My 17 month old appears to have chicken pox. this morning it looked like a little rash or irritation. tonight before bed, they were actual raised bumps and on her thighs and lower belly, also a raised bump on her tongue(although I can't see it very well because she thinks it's a game and won't show me) So last week(maybe a little longer than that), some close friends of ours called to let us ...

What do chicken pox look like at the start. We have red spots. No blisters. He has had a slight fever for a couple days with a runny nose and such. Today, the neighbor kid was over playing and I saw some red spots on his neck and I looked and they were starting on his back and chest. Needless to say I took the neighbor home. They said that if you put them in a warm bath, if they spread it ...

If a baby is exposed to chicken pox, is it standard practice to give them the chicken pox vax? I just don't understand how that works. Can someone please explain?

Hello, yesterday I noticed on my arms, I had a lot of red dots on both my arms, they only became itchy after I started touching them, but the itch was ignoreable. The dots were different sizes, some raised and some not, I thought it was chicken pox, but I looked again a few hours later, and they seemed to be gone, then a few hours after that, I noticed in the same place on each of...

Well good news! It wasn't the chicken pox. He said that it was a viral rash. He did say it was contagious but that there was nothing that he could do. It would just have to run it's course. He said it's not itchy or anything. So we went ahead with the birthday party. It was so much fun! I am glad that we didn't have to cancel! Thanks ladies for all of your help!
