Took the Lotus into FVMC for some service this morning - they hadn't salted I-290 yet. Anyone know if they've put down salt today on I-290 or the major Chicago streets? I'll have to ask FVMC to trailer it back to me if they have... In related news, people should learn to drive instead of relying on salt.

My uncle is convinced that taking the car to a shop and having them custom bend me some 3" pipe from the mids to the back for my 04 would be cheaper than an exhaust kit. Any input on that? And if it's true, has anyone around here had it done and where? Thanks everyone! -Chris-

Exhaust Works in Naperville. Most here have been sent there by me. Parrish runs the Naperville shop and has done work on pretty much all my cars. As to cost, it depends on what you do, If you start having them go crazy creating a whole flange back system with mufflers (especially if they're Magnaflow's), you're simply better off getting a pre-made cat-back and having any shop install it. ...
