( I also had a oncotype of 22 and my medical oncoligist said he didn't know if there would be enough of a benefit from chemo to offset the SE's. After much, much turmoil I have decided that I will go ahead and go through the chemo treatments. I'm 46 and have a nine year old daughter and a five year old son. As you can imagine having two young kids is what ultimately influenced my decision...

( I am about two months out of chemo and I have ankle pain and joint pain in my hands. I don't know what this is either. I've started rads and the techs say it isn't related to that, but that it is probably latent effects of the chemo. It does feel like old age, and I'm only 41. I would love some info about this too. , )

So they're selling YakTrax and the vendor just said something like "I have two people in my life going through chemo and they HAVE to make those appointments..." -- and babbled something about how people receiving chemotherapy need a set of YakTrax. Is it me or is that a new low in the hard sell?

( Yes, my TM went up during chemo. My CA 27.29 was 28 at diagnosis \(before any treatment\), 15 after surgery, then shot up to 35 while on chemo. Now that I'm done with chemo, it hovers between 24 and 30. , )

I just found out a friend is on Chemo AND radiation. Has anyone else here heard of someone having both at the same time? This doesn't sound good to me.

Have my 3rd chemo tomorrow. Had to go have 2 teeth filled today--could not wait. After tomorrow, 3 more to go. Seems like it will never get here but you all give my faith and hope to know it will. Thank you all.

The dreaded day has finally come... tomorrow I start my chemo. After a wonderful Disney vacation, I had to sink back into the harsh reality of completing my breast cancer treatment. I had my port put in on Monday, and tomorrow morning I'm off to my first treatment. I'll be getting one every three weeks, for a total of four treatments. If all goes well, I'll be done by the end of January....

Hi, I'm quite upset today, after finding out my CA-125 rose from 6.8 to 18.3. This is 2 months following end of Chemo to which I responded very well. Background:OvCa stage 3C, 2 surgeries leaving no visible cancer, many rounds of Taxol /carbo and IP Taxol /cisplantin. 1 Maintanence dose of Doxil on Oct 12th 2009. 1 week later I was put in the hospital (2 weeks) with a ...

( I believe the answer is no, there are some chemo regimens where you don't loose your hair. That being said, I don't know of any ladies with BC who underwent chemo and didn't loose their hair. I think that most of the standard chemo protocol for BC involves drugs that cause your hair to fall out. Mine fell out two weeks after my first chemo. My last three chemos were with a drug called ...

( Sorry about the progression:can't help with that chemo, but let's hope it's as easy as the nurse suggests. Your muga is still pretty good. I had a similair drop when on lapatanib, but it righted itself when the muga was repeated 10 days later. Enjoy the holiday-and good luck with the chemo when it starts. , )

I started with hot flashes 2 weeks into my A/C treatment. It continued through Taxol and the Radiation treatments. My doctor tells me now that I'm in menopause. I can't take anything for the hot flashes and I'm also taking Tamoxifin for 5 years which is an estrogen blocker and contributes to the hot flashes. Does anyone know anything other than the anti-...
