I'm browsing Murray's Cheeses on line this am. I'm not having a party this year, but +++ I do enjoy reading the descriptions and putting together the perfect cheese plate in my mind. Funny how a few years ago, I thought nothing of having these shipped just before my holiday party. In times of abundance and in times of cutting back, I'm still happy knowing that places like Murray's exist. ...

I never noticed there was potato starch added to those shredded, convenient packages of cheese, to keep them from clumping. I just happen to have bought a few bags last week. Is it enough to make you stall? I don't use them alot, but I don't want to use them AT ALL if they are detrimental to my weight loss efforts. It says there is only 1 carb per serving... Anybody?

I've got straight back on it today but we are having friends over tonight and I'm doing quiche, homemade bread and various nibbles (meats, cheeses, salad...). And someone will be bringing a pud of some description. And there will be booze. The only good thing is I'm doing a huge pot of mixed bean chilli which will be totally SW. Any tips ...

Mom tried to make it and came out okay but thinks she got the cheeses wrong.... My best guess would be mozzarella with some parmesan.... or perhaps a little parmigiano-reggiano mixed in if being fancy! All ideas would be appreciated!

Good Afternoon! It's been a busy, productive day. Almost done with my food prep, I just have to slice the cheeses for the appetizer platter. Dh deep cleaned the bathrooms, so tomorrow should be easy. I even got the turkey out of his wrapper and rinsed him and got him in his roasting pan. Dinner tonight will be the polar opposite of T-Day dinner: hot dogs and mac & cheese. If I ...
