That is one very long movie. Certainly it deserves credit for computer animation it is amazing. A leap much like the first Star Wars movie was for its generation. It lacks in every other category IMO. Music is below average, not dentist office bad, but mostly filler. Plot & characterization - worse then Transformers. It was very instructive however for my 14 & 11 year old....

I just felt like starting another poll, this time about a characterization detail. When Fantine enters at the end of "Lovely Ladies" and sings "Come on, Captain..." how do you prefer for her to deliver it? Still with a shred of ladylike dignity, or completely broken-down, whorish, possibly drunk, etc? I've certainly seen it played both ways. I started thinking about this after ...

I'm readying "This Time Is Different - Eight Centuries Of Financial Folly". They claim the US is a "default virgin" having never officially default on its government debt. Â I'm wondering if this is really a fair characterization. Didn't the US have treasury bonds in the early 30s? Did they get paid back with the original amount of gold or with devalued dollars? I'm assuming it was with ...

First, the pacing was a bit off, and I could have done without all of the flashbacks and slo motion, but at least the flashbacks served a purpose. I felt like they slowed the pace down a bit, even though they were adding characterization to the cast. Anyhoo, the reason I liked it was because it was dark, violent, with interesting characters and cool costumes and sets. Not usually the best way...

"It's a Man's Man's Man's World" - or so James Brown sang in 1966. With lyrics by Betty Jean Newsome and a cinematic orchestral arrangement, that song's characterization of traditional male-female relationships make it a classic relic from a pivotal era in the history of rock and roll. How quickly things changed. In 1965, Petula Clark's "Downtown" was ...

I think The Riddler will have some connections to Harvey Dent. As it said in the viral marketing Gotham Times. A small print by Edward Nashton... "Dent Cannot Be Believed".

chances are that you could find your theories absorbed into other theories without any credit to you....... Upside is you definately wouldn't be a crackpot then.

QUOTE(Patchouli Knowledge @ Dec 23 2009, 10:57 AM) It does make sense that Animated was heavy on the characterization, that's how they give the toys personality. How many fans have bought a figure simply because the show/comic/whatever made the character grow on them? And alternatively, I gave up on buying many Animated figures simply because their presence in the show was ...
