I bought a parts kit from top gun supply for my W. german P220 and changed my springs. I tried a function test of chambering a round from a full mag. failed to chamber, tried another mag same thing. Tried to chamber by locking slide and releasing and it chambers but if I manual try to cycle another round it jams up. Any Ideas I will attach some pics of what is occuring. I appreciate any help....

I just noticed today that the firing pin on my SGL-20 puts a very slight mark on the primer of the round when chambering it. It does it went I manually chamber the first round in the mag,and also when the gun chambers the remaining rounds. Is that normal ? I'm kinda concerned about possible "slam fires" occurring. Anyone else's AK do this ? Also, I noticed that it puts a slight ...

I have read that chambering the same round from a magazine into a Glock can cause the bullet to set back into the case and cause FTF. One writer advised marking and rotating the cartridges so chambered, so a new one is up after a few cycles of chambering. Is this necessary? Has anyone had issues in that regard? Why not take a cartridge from the removed mag, lock the slide back and ...

Chambering a Round Issue If I have the slide locked back and insert a loaded magazine, and drop the slide, a round chambers fine. If the slide isn't locked back, and I insert a loaded magazine, then attempt to chamber a round by racking the slide, the round jams on the forward stroke of the slide. 1. This is a valid way to ...

I can't remember a single chamber kick working in any MMA fight, I'm guessing that's why every picks on TKD. The reasons I'm guessing is because it's easy to see it coming and it's easy to create an angle around it. Is it useful in self-defense though? Would there be any reason to practice chamber kicking?

I saw an interesting hunk of British history today, a 4 barreled Lancaster pistol! I had heard of these, but never seen one in real life before. Not for sure what the chambering was, but it looked to be somewhat larger than .45, and not as big as .577. The owner had never fired it, and removed it from the safe while looking for something for me(an Italian Glisenti/Bodeo M1889 revolver). I...

Hi all My brother has a 98 action that has been reworked to 22-250. Great rifle but has always had the problem of the 3rd cartridge jumping up in front of the extractor when chambering rounds fast. He wants to fix it. Other than filing down the extractor to jump over the rim, what else can be done? Many thanks Aaron

No need nor real desire for another chambering but I wanted the Bisley parts someone else installed on it so why not give it a try. Also came with an extra set of Ruger factory rosewoods so these horrific ivory-like things will go away.

Your guns should be able to chamber a round using both methods you described. If your gun does not always chamber a round when you release the slide from its locked open position, something is wrong, and it should be corrected. If these are self defense guns, you don't want to be in a situation when you run out of ammo, the gun goes to slide lock, you insert a fresh mag, release the slide stop...
