Really random question once again from me I was driving along one night and suddenly realized, the button the right of my steering wheel for central locking, doesnt have a light behind it liek the two on the left for back window washer and demister. Did the central locking switch ever have a light behind it that lights up when you turn on the headlights? Or am i just imagining things,...

This is puzzling me.. I have the above MG from new and although supplied with a key fob with the unlock and lock buttons, it doesn't do the ' central locking thing' just seems to put the alarm on. IS there something wrong here, I have often wondered if it was just my car or if maybe the spec doesn't have CL ... Thanks

Hi Guys, I have just purchased a black pt cruiser CRD , It has a problem with the central locking, it works if i use the key on the drivers door, but only works from the remote control fob on the back doors and boot if i press it twice, this just locks and opens the back doors. If press it once like it advises for the front door operationan both the front doors remain locked or open, ...

Anybody else have issues getting their central locking to play nicely in the frost this morning?? Mine would try to unlock, realise it hadn't unlocked properly and promptly lock all doors again. Fortunately, one door (front passenger) hadn't iced up too bad so the key still worked in that one. Climbed inside, tried to open the locks on the drivers door... it didn't want to :-( Managed to ...

Hi all, Could anyone tell me what electronic units are behind the glove box on a 95 disco 300TDI ES. got them wet and now the immobiliser isnt working nor the central locking, however the electric windows and wipers with intermittent function are all working fine. What box/es carry out these functions? - immobiiser - central locking Also what does the ECU actually do on a 300TDI?...

Hi, does anybody central locking back door in MK2? I have original remote central locking but the back door is mechanical. I mind it I viewed FIAT EPER there are some variants back door lock (position 5,6). My question - is some option for central lock back door ? I´d try to change it. Or any MK2 never has central lock back door? THX

todays random electrical fault is that my 9000 cs will not unlock for more than a few seconds it just locks itself again and you can hear it trying to lock even after it is locked rapidly intill it triggers the overload and stop for a few seconds so im thinking it could be some control unit somewere with a dry joint ? it has a secondary alarm too but this locks the car as normal

So, its the kit minus the relay...which in essence is 2 ...

Just bought another Rover 75,a diesel one.Problem with the central locking is that you have to go around the passenger side of the car for the remote to open or lock the doors, the drivers door doesn't open or close with teh remote though, you have to stick the key in to lock or unlock it?Anyone any ideas?
