So today is my due date and I just drank the .....Castor Oil! And belive it or not! It tasted like nothing at all! There was not bad after taste or hard to swallow reflexes at ALL! So my doctor told me today that I could try Primrose Oil or Castor Oil now since I've been having irregular contractions for a week and they baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead ( at 39 weeks ).. Do you think I should? I'm a little nervous and I've heard lots of different things on castor oil. Thank you

Hey ladies, just wanted to pass this along....I was joking around with my doc yesterday and asked her if she had any labor-inducing tips for me for this weekend....she said "DO NOT do Castor Oil, I just had a patient that did and it gave her such intense contractions that she had placental abruption". I know there are quite a few of us that may be looking for ways to help things along but IMO ...

i overheard a girl at my dr office asking a nurse about castor oil and the nurse said it will make you really sick for days and if you do by chance go into labor it will make you even more miserable to be sick and pushin out the baby. me personally i wudnt do it but its whatever you feel is right for you. and i think thats the first story where ive heard a momma say her doc said it was ok.
