Why do I never want to cash out? For some reason I love watching my bankroll grow and never want to take it out. I'm way over rolled for my current level and adequately rolled for the level I'm trying to switch to. What do I have against taking that money out? Anybody else experience this?

I am unemployed and looking for work. Money from severance is waning. I have moved my 401K to an IRA with Vanguard. It is about $9800. I am looking at cashing it in for survival. If this, plus a small contract job ($18K) I had this summer is my only income, how much of the $9800 will I lose? Not the best plan, but I'm getting desperate. Thanks. Blue Skies & Calm ...
