Hi...does anyone know how the system works for local authority funding to be able to go into a care home? The reason I ask is that both my parents are elderley...mom has alzheimers..dad who is her main carer..has severe disabilities of his own...now the social worker who comes for my mom has said he can guarantee funding for mom but he cant guarantee it for dad...they have no property or assets ...
