Since this topic was started in another thread, this probably would be a better area to have this discussion. Jeremy Alan posted the following: " Oxygen is toxic as well at various levels. Oxygen is very reactive and acts as an oxidizing agent. The very reason you live on this planet is due to very high CO2 concentrations at one point that ...

Sinking Global Warming: Is There a Reliable Way to Track Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide Levels? CO2 emissions rise as natural sinks slow, but how can scientists precisely track this greenhouse gas, especially in advance of a potential global treaty to reduce its emissions? By David Biello OAS_AD("x81"); function OAS_RMF_x81_AdSize(){ this.width = 1; ...

Trends in the sources and sinks of carbon dioxide Corinne Le Quere, Michael R. Raupach, Josep G. Canadell, Gregg Marland et al . 24 Abstract Efforts to control climate change require the stabilization of atmospheric CO2 concentrations. This can only be achieved through a drastic reduction of global CO2 emissions. Yet fossil fuel emissions increased by 29% between 2000 and 2008, in ...

I just got a new computer that I built myself with an ASUS P7P55D Motherboard. ASUS has its EPU-6 Engine that saves electricity when you don't require much processing power (like when you type documents with Microsoft Office Word 2007). So, this EPU-6 Engine has a "Reduce CO2 Emission" count. I have reduced my computer's CO2 Emission by at least 1 gram (1376.771 mg of CO2 and counting). So ...

Good day all, Due to the not fully answered question, can any one ansver this: Which gas during the welding of ferritic steels does oxidize more 93%Arg+5%CO2+2%O2 or 80%arg+20%CO2 Thank you

I really dont think its just the gas. As I said before, the gas is influencing the way the wire performs and the welders need to adjust their technique. There must be thousands of welds made every day with 95/5 + Oxy. I dont think they will all be porous or this mix would be banned. I think that with practice your guys would get the hang of it and you would get good welds. However, ...

Trader Jack: Bloom, you are disregarding the 1000s of PhD level scientists who do not find CO2 global warming to be credible. Scientist opinion and scientific studies are two different things. Scientists tend to be conservative, like you. But there are no studies showing anthrogenic carbon causing cooling, which is what you seem to mean (or ...
