OK, newbie on the site. Was wonding if anyone has attempted a car computer on a 2005 - 2010 STS? Did you do it with or without the OEM Radio / NAV? What did you go with? yes guys this is for a 3 week old used pioneer avic-z1 head unit. some basic things about the head unit are 1) built in 30 Gig harddrive. so no more shuffling round CD's 2) full US and Canada Navigation with alaska(for those who love to travel there lol) and the best part is, that it is not on CD's its all ont he harddrive so you dont have to take care of CD's or take ...

I just installed a new computer because the old one was bad ,the charger would not go on, now it charges but the charger goes down to 5 amps and stays there,it wont shut off, it starts boiling the batteries.. the numbers on the computer were right,, could I have gotten a bad one or is there something else wrong

It's just a computer, anything extra like radio, gps, wifi, etc... would need to be done through USB accessories. The enclosure mounts just like an amp, and the computer would need to be wired however you see fit. The power supply is intelligent and can turn itself on with the car, turn itself off, and turn your amps, etc on... just like a headunit. The screen will take some custom work, ...
