I just purchased the Premiere Elements 8 today and can't get it to do anything! I cannot get it to download my HDV video. When it finally does, it is full of drop frames. Any help out there?

Buddy of mine has a business that his wife opened that was featured on the local news. I went to capture a bunch of video I have on DV tapes from an event and when I started, I get a error message saying "VidCap60.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close.
