Have just been to Canaries after ten years or so. When I last visited it was nearly all Mercedes taxis. Things have changed there are still a few 123 series going, I saw a 240d stretch with seating in the back for five or six. I also saw a number of 123s and 124s. However the Toyota seems to have taken over the mantle. There are loads of 00 corollas with several hundred thousand on the clock also...

The thing is that in order for me to bring them home I have to fly with them (or they with me :-) ), and I am worried about how to do it so that it doesn't cause ...

It's rather chilly at the moment and I'd love a change of climate, so I'm looking forward to my next year's holidays, in Greece or the Canaries maybe. Where are you all planning to go for next year's hols?

Keith Ikard Coal miners used to take canaries into the hellish caverns they dug deep below the ground to determine whether or not they had enough oxygen to survive. If the bird died while they were working, they knew that they too would die soon and that it was time to move. Israel, according to Dennis Prager, is the miner's canary to...

I have been madly packing all day, as we are off on a cruise to the Canaries and Madeira tomorrow - coming home on January 5th. I'd like to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and a peaceful, healthy and WIN derful New Year. Hope you all have lots of wins and of course I am hoping to come home to at least one myself. This hasn't been a good year, so 2010 can only get better - surely?

I visited a friend in the Canaries last month and he had it in his bathroom- just a sniff transported me to my childhood... I am now craving it!! It comes in a hot pink octogonal bottle with a white cap, very distictive... It is an insititution ...

Great news that Ryanair have extended their services to the canaries through summer 2010. The spanish government has continued the discount they have for landing and we will all benefit. This is good for Edinburgh and Glasgow passengers let down by the collapse of you know who. Bristol, Birmingham and loads more also extended. even Fuerteventura has got their flights back. No sign of ...
