I know the 7D is considered a DSLR, but everyone knows it has great video recording capabilities as well. Is it comparable to some digital camcorders such as the HV30/40 series? I'm currently debating whether or not I should get rid of my HV30; I just ordered my 7D, and if I can just replace my HV30 with it, then I could be saving quite a bit. However, I don't have the camera yet, so I can't ...

So, has anyone else noticed that as camcorders have become less expensive, and the Internet has spread, people have become more mad and disheartened? At government, police, etc.? Well, when I was younger, in the 90s, camcorders were hundreds, even thousands of dollars. They were also bulkier and of lower quality. You had to set them up properly to see everything, such as school plays, etc...

Looking at the models that use flash drives in particular. If you have any input ...

Just wondering if anyone knew of a good camcorder for under 300$. I don't need HD just good video and pictures and hopefully the most optical zoom I can get for the buck. I would also prefer some form of expandable media and no software needed but good video in the dark is not expected for this price but I would prefer it. I saw a list of budget camcorders on Cnet and can refer to that if ...

I am trying to understand whether it's possible to use a USB DV Tape Camcorder with the air. I have a PV-GS500 Camcorder, it has both firewire and USB ports. With a MBP, you can easily transfer movies from the camera to the computer via firewire, using iMovie. Now with a PC, you can transfer movies to the computer via USB. The PC recognizes the camera, once it's plugged into USB, as a ...
