If 1/2 cup of oats is say 25g
carbohydrates, when the 1/2 cup doubles upon cooking, is the 1 cup cooked oats still 25g carbohydrates or is it now 50+? Also, if the dry 1/2 cup of oats is 150 calories, is it still 150 calories when it cooks to 1 cup of oats? I just ate 1 1/2 cups of steel cut oats which was 1/2 cup dry so I'm wondering.
