After completing my daily caloric intake of 3k calories necessary to gain weight, I went to cicis pizza (unexpectedly) and ate 4 slices of pizza and 3 cinammon rolls. My calorie calculator indicates that I ate 3.8k today; 106 grams of fat, 235 grams of protein, and 495 grams of carbohydrates. I know that some of you would tell me to stop being a pussy and eat (weighting 142.5lbs currently) on my ...

I've looked around for the caloric value of an egg white, and have gotten mixed reviews. I've got large eggs (including yolk) with 80 calories, 7p/0c/5f. The fat really piles on so thought I'd go with trying out the egg whites, but would like to know exactly what I'm consuming Thanks Guys

I just have a quick question, and I was wondering whether some of you here could offer me some advice: I'm 20 years old, currently ~132 pounds and have lost ~45 pounds over the past few months. I started eating very little at first (900 calories) and exercising a lot, and then increased that to 1200 (still exercising) and the weight continued to come off. I stopped exercising in September ...

So, I've been coming across a difficult situation ... I figured I would see if I could find some answers here. I'm 5'9" and I'm at 331lbs. To lose weight means that I should be consuming somewhere around 2800 calories by my count, however, when I try to eat healthy I don't even come close to that. I drink a lot of water and usually eat until I feel satiated but not overfull. When ...

So I was reading about this diet in a magazine and looked it up online. What you do is on "Down Days" you eat half or less of your daily caloric intake and on "Up Days" you relax and eat what you like (not binge eating). Apprently it triggers something, I'm not sure, but I wanted to know if anyone had heard about it or had any opinions. I'd be willing to try it for the 2 weeks that they say ...

Will My Weight Loss Stall if I Cut too Many Calories? If you take your caloric intake down too low, you are actually sending your body into "starvation mode". Your body wants to maintain your weight when it "thinks" you are starving; therefore, your metabolism will actually slow down and you may not lose weight at all.

i was reading one of the articles on how to calculate your daily caloric intake and had a question. it says 1 g protein = 4 kcal, 1 g fat = 9 kcal, 1 g carb = 4 kcal. my question is in this in addition to the calories already listed on the nutrition facts? for example if i have one slice of deli sliced american cheese, its 45 cal, 4 g protein, 6 g fat. so when calculating my calories for ...

Hi all! How's everyone doing? I wanted to see if anyone is experiencing this with their 4 month old. My son, Ty was born 6 lbs., 2 oz. on July 23. He is currently on Similace Alimentum formula which according to his ped. would equate to the same caloric intake if he were getting "regular" formula. He has a cow's milk sensitivity which I found out that he had after I stopped breast-feeding him...

I read the losing fat for noobs, and from what I understand I don't NEED to do cardio. I only need a caloric deficit in order to burn fat. My question is, should I be doing cardio if I want to maintain my current muscle and burn my fat? Or is merely eating less enough to burn fat and keep my muscle?

Hey all, Just a bit of a frivolous post :-) Yes, the title is "burf", as in "I can't believe I ate that much!" I try to fluctuate my calories so that my body doesn't drop my metabolism too much to compensate for the low caloric intake. So some days I go a little higher and some days a little lower. I try to hit maintenance once a week or so. Usually I do it by having a bit ...
