I really want to get the digital HVAC control in my car because I hate those stupid little knobs. I did a little research and I found that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I just wanted to make sure these don't need to be calibrated to the car or anything. I found a brand new one on eBay and I got it today. When I plug it in I can control the fan speed, but ...

Hi all, I'm wondering, does calibrate using a calibrator like spyder 3 express or any of it would give u a big different after calibrated? I mean, really obvious different. My experience, just receive a spyder 3 express bought from an online store. and after my 1st calibration process, the color were yellow cast, all the once clear white (like fill a photo with #ffffff) now seem yellowish....

Just got a used D2h last week. Looking at the battery meter, it was at 92% when I got it. I've taken a 150 or so pictures and it's showing 82% now, so it seems to be ok. It's at 2 on the replace chart...also ok based on what I've read. It also says "needs calibrated"....I've looked all over and can't find anything about this. I don't have a manual. Can somebody tell me what this means, or ...

Hi there I've earlier posted a thread on how my 24-105f4IS wasnt shap at f4@105mm. After returning my first copy for a better one, I still wasnt complitely satisfied with the sharpness compared to my old 17-55f2.8IS (that I sold). DavidSvensson (and others) adviced me to turn my 24-105 inn for calibration in this thread: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/readflat.asp?for um=1029&thread=32949158...

Actual programmer comments from the computer code of the fraudulent climate models used by the charlatans at the Hadley CRU: Plots 24 yearly maps of calibrated (PCR-infilled or not) MXD reconstructions ; of growing season temperatures. Uses “corrected” MXD – but shouldn’t usually ; plot past 1960 because these will be artificially adjusted to look closer to ; the real temperatures....

Does anyone know whether it takes longer to cook or bake in the Wolf wall ovens? I've had the oven temperature checked twice; both times I was told that the ovens are correctly calibrated. I use an oven thermometer as well. It takes so long to cook things and baking is the same way. One time my husband baked an apple pie, he par cooked the crust first so it wouldn't be soggy and then put the pie...

This is from computer code released with the hacked emails from the Climate Research Unit. Comments within computer code on how to handle the post 1960 data show more data manipulation. This is in reference to a function: Plots 24 yearly maps of calibrated (PCR-infilled or not) MXD reconstructions of growing season temperatures. Uses corrected MXD but shouldnt usually plot past 1960 ...

It is a pity we are 'stuck' with relating brightness to wattage. If we used a proper definitive measure of brightness then manufacturers would have to be more honest. Brightness is something that can be properly measured with a calibrated instrument. Relating everything to a poor performing incandescent is not good science. (Lux - Candela - Lumens - whatever)

Is there any legislation regarding what test gear can be used for testing. Do the pros have to replace their test kit every now and then or can they use old kit provided its calibrated?

i am running Snow Leopard 6.0.2 and Final Cut Studio 3 in a 2008 2.8GHz Mac Pro Quad Core. My monitors are two 23" Apple Cinema Displays, both calibrated to a gamma value of 2.2. Since upgrading to Snow Leopard i have noticed, that when exporting a Quicktime movie, color corrected using the canvas, the output file, opened with Quicktime X or 7 looks washed out. When i compare the ...
