The photos I edit on my monitor look NOTHING like the photos that come out in the printer. Hence the need to calibrate. I've heard of Spyder and Huey. Anybody have any suggestions? That are affordable???

I have a LG 60PS80 and am ready to calibrate. There's a few things that I don't understand. I'm going to use Expert1. I have Video essentials and several other dvds. I'm mainly concerned about grey scale starting out. In the menu there's a 2 point and 20 point. I don't understand how to use this. If I set it to 20 point, what next? I know I need to use a pattern. Does the TV furnish it in 20...

I just upgraded to 10.6.2, and I cannot calibrate my iMac any longer. When I get to the luminosity adjustment, it tells me my iMac display (same setting I had) only has 58 cd2. Even when I crank it up to maximum (unuseably bright), I only get to 80 cd2. I downloaded the newest iMatch 3.6.2 software. I have a long line of jobs and cannot afford not to work. Any advice would be ...

Hi. Photography is a hobby of mine - I am by no means a professional. I have a laptop which I know isn't always the best for editing. I want to get a program to calibrate my monitor - it seems silly to put all the time and effort working on my post processing skills if none of it looks like it would when I print it. Are there any programs that are basic and won't cost a fortune? Thank you!!

Dear all, I'm currently applying the Creditgrades (2002) model for CDS pricing to some data. I'm at the step where I have collected all my data and want to take the model to the data, i.e. make model prices match market prices by minimizing the sum of squared errors. The authors of Creditgrades estimated the model parameters L (the mean of the global recovery rate accross ...

I am helping my office partner try to set up her Mac G5 dual 2.5 for photoshop, and her monitors will not display any black below 235 or any white point above 10. When using the Mac OS calibration tool, the displays won't show the black circle in the black square on the brightness adjustment, no matter how brightly they are set. We switched displays, from a dell 2007wfp to a new Lacie...

I just upgraded my monitor and am wondering if there's a poor-man's way of calibrating the monitor (i.e. no special hardware) with decent success? I'm not a professional and not really a pixel peeper, just looking for a way to get semi-accurate colors so when I send pictures off to be printed the results are consistent. Thanks in advance!

I'd like to achieve accurate colour reproduction on my monitor. It's a BenQ G2220HDA and I have already messed with it a little, so I'd like to know if what I have done makes sense and to hear additional tips (since I'm neither a photo-editing pro, nor too knowledgeable in these matters, I'm looking for a sort of "for dummies" instructions which would be easy to understand and follow and produce ...

My new computer has windows 7, 64 bit. I loaded Flight Simulator X Deluxe. It loaded fine but I couldn't calibrate the yoke, joystick, etc. I removed FSX, then found out I needed new Windows 7 driver downloads to make them work. I got the downloads and tried to reinstall FSX. Not one of the 3 FSX disks will install or be recognized by the computer. Any other disks will play normally. I tried ...

1. Does anybody know where/how I can calibrate my TV? This is my first plasma, and I am unsure how to get the best picture. I don't really trust my eyes to be honest. I have found this guide, but this is for 1080p content and in a completely black room. That will be great when I get my blueray player, but for right now it doesn't really help as 90% of my viewing will be HD TV for right now....

I just recently bought a HP Pavillion dv6 1353cl, and well, the colors on my display don't live up to my expectations. I've found how to calibrate the display colors in the preferences, but for some reason, my changes won't save. I've followed the directions it has given me and even tried to calibrate the colors many more times. Can anyone help?
