I have a LG 60PS80 and am ready to calibrate. There's a few things that I don't understand. I'm going to use Expert1. I have Video essentials and several other dvds. I'm mainly concerned about grey scale starting out. In the menu there's a 2 point and 20 point. I don't understand how to use this. If I set it to 20 point, what next? I know I need to use a pattern. I just upgraded to 10.6.2, and I cannot calibrate my iMac any longer. When I get to the luminosity adjustment, it tells me my iMac display (same setting I had) only has 58 cd2. Even when I crank it up to maximum (unuseably bright), I only get to 80 cd2. I downloaded the newest iMatch 3.6.2 software. I have a long line of jobs and cannot afford not to work. Hi. Photography is a hobby of mine - I am by no means a professional. I have a laptop which I know isn't always the best for editing. I want to get a program to calibrate my monitor - it seems silly to put all the time and effort working on my post processing skills if none of it looks like it would when I print it. Are there any programs that are basic and won't cost a fortune? Thank you!!

I just upgraded my monitor and am wondering if there's a poor-man's way of calibrating the monitor (i.e. no special hardware) with decent success? I'm not a professional and not really a pixel peeper, just looking for a way to get semi-accurate colors so when I send pictures off to be printed the results are consistent. Thanks in advance!

1. Does anybody know where/how I can calibrate my TV? This is my first plasma, and I am unsure how to get the best picture. I don't really trust my eyes to be honest. I have found this guide, but this is for 1080p content and in a completely black room. That will be great when I get my blueray player, but for right now it doesn't really help as 90% of my viewing will be HD TV for right now....
