Hey everyone I've been a Cablevision customer every since I was 4 years old, and now that Black Friday has brought me my new 40" LED-LCD Samsung 40" - I'm trying to get the best quality out of my service. I currently have the 4250HD Scientific Atlantic cable box, I use HDMI and the quality is awesome. I'm just wondering if anyone has Cablevision and switched an old HD Cable box for a new ...

Considering change from bundled Cablevision to bundled Uverse from ATT in Stamford -- mainly for value. But have heard HD picture not as good -- especially from sports where compression really creates artifacts, etc. Has anyone made the shift and what do you like/dislike about Yverse

Newsday .com has always be a great place for me to read about the Mets, but now that Cablevision owns Newsday you have to be an Optimum online or Newsday subscribers to read much of n Newsday?s online content or you must pay $5 a month. This stinks since I have Comcast High-Speed Internet. I guess this a way to stick it to Verizon internet customers. The only problem is that people that live in ...

Its time once again to complain about one of the cable companies. Recently, Cablevision got rid of all their standard definition channels and replaced them with HD. Now all the channels are in HD. Of course, in a perfect world no one would complain about HD. But since Cablevision's HD channels have a history of freezing and digitizing, its really frustrating when you're trying to watch something ...

OK, I thought this wasn't going to be a very prolonged issue, but it's been months now, and the guide is constantly "loading" just after midnight everyday! Does anyone know if Cablevision is even looking into this?

I would like to know the best way to split a cable signal with minimal signal loss. First off, I want to hook up a TV in a room about 35 ft. away. I am in NJ and we use Cablevision as our provider. The box is a Scientific Atlanta 8300HD. Would it be better to use the 2nd "cable out" output on my CATV receiver or is it better to split the signal outside the house for the 2nd TV? The installer ...

I think I discussed this in a Smallville episode thread but not sure. For the last month I've had audio dropouts/stuttering while watching my recordings of Smallville from Cablevision NY Channel 711. It only happens with this show, and it's been happening every week. Has anyone else had this issue? Anyone have any idea what it could be? I don't watch anything else on The CW I don't know if ...

But not anymore i have At&t Dsl have had it for allmost 2 years and no problems got the cheapest package at 19.95 768k and i can check it with any bandwith tester and it is allways right there. VR...don't hold your breath for the hope of seeing many classic wta matches especially WS matches. Tennis channel typically picks obscure wta matches to show and deems those classics. Also the channel is anti- ws and pro pova. Is it worth 5.99- that's a push. But the first year I had it I did see a lot of Fed and Nadal matches I hadn't seen before and could record. Tennis channel is a channel of ...

Windstream dsl here and couldn't be happier. I had too many problems with cable internet, their excuses and then waiting for them to come out to do their repairs. 3 years now and no regrets. Also have AT&T dsl in Maysville office and no real problems there, just don't like the contracts they stick you with. We need more competition in this area for sure.
