CINEMA 4D - Topic profile

Hi, I've recently been trying out Cinema 4D (it's complicated software), and I've been having trouble trying to import a file from Illustrator which is composed of text. So is there a way to import a Adobe Illustrator file into Cinema 4D? I want to import the Illustrator document (which is type) and use the tools in C4D to make it 3D.

Hey guys, Is there anyway to rearrange the points on a 3d object so that the polygons making it up match the texture of the object? i have't direct inet connection(some problems) at workplace(need offline updates). So i copied 20080813_help dir with files(which download at home) from User-dir: Code: 20080813_help_files.enc4d - ~4 kb 20080813_help_US.enc4d - ~155 mb then put same place in work machine and start update manager in cinema4d. I can read it normally.

So has anyone gotten a character that is rigged (without IK) and baked into xsi mod tool from c4d? I would not like to use baked geometry because i do not think that game engines will use baked geo.
