Hello All I have to replace my SAS controller card with a different card which of has different drivers but a case of the chiken or the egg. If I just replace the card it will not boot as there are no drivers. You must have had to overcome this what did you do? Any ideas something simple would good. Thanks, Lee...

That's the problem the HA which is a 48300 which uses the pci-x has to removed to fit the replacement which is the 4800 I can not go against a basic law of physics two objects and can not occupy the same space. Most PCI-x cards (but not all) will fit and work in a regular PCI slot. If so, you can do it that way. If not, your best answer is to replace the card and re-install. Run Windows Easy Transfer (WET) before you start, saving your data off to an external HD or a network share or some other place you'll be able to get at it after the change of HA. non mais je n en mange pas des tas de mac chiken ben non c est pas possible je ne vis pas au mac do heureusement d ailleurs. ce soir je vais juste me faire un chocolat et c est tout. je n ai rien encore fait pour noel rien acheter arfffffff je vais essayer la semaine prochaine ou ce week end. chui vraiment a la bourre c est peu de le dire
