Does anyone have a 1976 Suburban 3/4ton 454 2wd that has all the smog stuff in place. I am looking for the Fed model smog. It does have a/c too. I have just gotten a hold of this vehicle. It is going to be great for my family after I rebuild her. It does not have this info under the hood anywhere and I am having trouble finding this info. Pics and a list would be very helpful. And vacuum diagrams...

Well the Burban is finally on a truck from Seattle to Ft. Hood Texas. It will be waiting for me once I get done with my deployment in Iraq. Anyone have any recommendations of some good performance or offroad shops in the area? Thanks

my ad's '84 burb 1/2 ton, 2wd, 350 with OD and 3.73 gears could get 18mpg on the highway if keeping it around 60mph. on a 40 gallon tank it was good for 700 miles of highway driving. when he put the 406sbc it only lost 1-2mpg and got closer to 600 miles on a tank. so 350 miles on 1/2 a tank is very reasonable with the right equipment!

I know I have hit right at 6K on my 96 L31 Burban that Jesse tuned as read on the factory tach (you know how accurate they are...). I traded in that PCM to him for my 99 454 one, so never gonna see that one again. The Burb has been since sold (my wife got in a fight with a couple of semi's, and injured the front end, fortunately all ok her and the 5 kids in there with her, 4 of which were mine)...
