At our wedding the owner of the bistro had her 6 month old son in a little koala bunting that I adored. We are looking for something warm and yet fun. We will need to use a bunting for a few months as it is will be quite cold until about May. Anyone else looking ...

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/ear...and-birds.h tml An article to state that Cirl Buntings numbers are on the rise again. There is a high dependancy on the right 'farmland' environment for Cirl Buntings, and that hopefully that will be increased in the future. Regards Kathy x

DS is 15 pounds and super heavy in that infant carrier. Thinking about switching him to the Britax Marathon, but need some sort of baby bunting to keep him warm when I take him out of the car. Any recommendations? Cindy Lincoln 9/03/09

I visted two of the Lam Tsuen side valleys in the last couple of days. Ng Tung Chai on Saturday and then Tai Om Shan this morning. Ng Tung Chai was pretty hard work, but I did reap some reward for my first climb into the valley for almost six months. There was a male Grey-backed Thrush in the big tree on the edge of the farmland in the village (and a female scavenging under a fruiting tree...

Thanks for the feedback everyone. This bird first caught my attention last week. I saw a very noticable darker streaking on its chest, as compared to the "regulars" at the feeders, the house finches and pine siskens. This was with the naked eye @ approximately 20 feet. In looking online and in my field guides, at first I was leaning towards a female lark bunting, mainly because the pics I was...

In the past I had a problem with those darn squirrels eating all the bird seed in a matter of hours. When I saw a squirrel proof feeder at a local store, I was disappointed by the high price around $100. Then I found a very affordable squirrel proof feeder for under $20 at a big box store. I bought it and filled to the top. The seed lasted nearly a month with all kinds of birds (sparrows, ...
