I've been given three USB thumbdrives for free by a guy who said they "didn't work"; one 8GB, two 2GB. The 8GB drive ran just fine when I inserted it (yes! I just happened to need one such drive), while one of the 2GB ones required a repartition with gparted. The third, however, is proving more of a challenge. fdisk -l reports a size of some five hundred gigabytes, and neither fdisk nor gparted...

I was trying to upgrade from version 3.05 to the newest one .06 and it's gone just terrible. I've getting massive errors and it's probably because of a mode I tried to do a few months and now it's after completion I'm getting errors. Instead of trying to fix it all can I just keep the sql datebase and just do a whole new install? Then after reload my theme and add the database for all the posts...

....that sinking feeling that you get when your brain knows that a component is buggered beyond repair - but your geek heart KNOWS it can be salvaged? You then spend 2 hours tinkering around, blowing dust, wiping and smacking the thing, hoping that your fried component will miraculously start working; but it never does. Sigh - now to find a new display card....

Wanted: Early 2A LF Wing I don't need the outer skin, but will take it if it's still bolted up. I'd really like one not all buggered up by some guy who didn't know how to get his clutch MC out. Any color will do, but poppy would be great.

/Rant on-They buggered up a credit card debit order and for the past 6 months now they just disconnect if I haven't paid in just a week late. Not even. Then they charge a R50 reconnect fee and most of my SO's morning to get the decoders working again. I mean really, give us a break. Like send an sms or a letter or something like before you pull the plug, not AFTER-/Rant off

Another one of the goodies I got up at the Panhandle auction. An 8kw generator with a 14hp B&S Vangaurd OHV 2-cylinder engine. This generator is brushless, no sliprings or brushes to tear up. The wiring was buggered up, the voltage select switch was bad, the start/run switch was jambed, it won't charge the battery, it leaked fuel, two brackets were broken and it was a mess overall. After much...
After making sure all of the rear suspension on my 72 was tight I found out the rear threads were all buggered up. I tried to reform them, but I still can't get the nuts on good and tight (they are doubling as a harness mount for now as well). Is there a way to replace these bolts without buying new insulators? Also, what should these be torqued to? My haynes manual doesn't say....

Gotta get the air-con fixed on the Vajero - Got it gassed up a week ago and it\'s rooted. Looks like there\'s a bit of crap in the lines that has to be flushed out and the clutch on the air-compressor is buggered.

Its 12 years old, the remotes are buggered and I want to disable the alarm but keep the central locking. Model CT1000, I have the serial number. How can I do this or else is there a particular wire that can be cut to splice a on/off switch in?

I need to replace the balljoint on my lower wishbone as I buggered it when doing the CV joint. Is it a pain to remove and what removal tool is best, as there are a few out there?! Cheers
