Can anyone tell me if the hair dryers at Brisas are decent, or should I bring my own with an adapter? Yes, I know most people stay away from dryers while they are away but I like to dry my hair for supper. Thanks!

My husband is an avid 'boogie boarder'. We will be at the Las Brisas next week. He has his own board and wonders if he should bring it to Ixpapa. The question is - are the waves in Ixtapa conducive to the sport AND if so, is the beach at Las Brisas hotel a good place to boogie board?

We are considering staying at Las Brisas which we last visited in 2004. We understand that since then the hotel has undergone a renovation. can anyone tell me if there are bathrooms located anywhere near the beach...or do you "mad dash" it back to your rooms? do they have an "open flame" bbq anywhere on the resort where they make ribs, pork chops, or anything like that? thanks!

Has anyone heard of this resort/hotel ? My wife already bought the tickets for 24 Jan 2010 from Toronto . I can not find any forum here on tripadvisor.com. Has the hotel changed its name ? It shows 4* on redtag.ca. We have been 3 times in Cuba, Las Brisas ( Holguin ), Tryp Cayo Coco, Melia Cayo Guillermo, so we know what to expect. But still...

We'll be at Las Brisas from February 2-16 on an AI plan and wil be eating most of our meals at the hotel. I would like to plan a special meal for Valentine's day in either Ixtapa or Zihua. Can you help? Suggestions for other days to break up the monotony are also welcome. Thanks.
