I have seen something similar, but with different twist to the current problem being reported. I posted this a couple weeks ago with no replies. I have a vfd, and 2 pulleys defined in mach. The machine is a bridgeport, one pulley is for high speed range, the other for backgear use. The backgear pulley is defined as "reversed". In testing going from M3 to M4 directly, without a stop in ...

I've allways built expantion chambered 2 strokes.. Now im building a Bridgeport.. There seems to be alot of talk about what cc's are the heads, 28, 26, etc.. For me it's allways been about the cylinder pressure.. If it was above 165psi. it was time for someting higher than 93 octane.. My engine has stock exhaust port height and 28cc heads, new pistons and rings, and correct bore size.. ...

I am looking at a Bridgeport CNC mill (with servos) that has a Heidenhain controller with Z axis out. I have seen a few similar machines that use steppers and Gecko G203V drives. The mill I'm looking at has servos and I am thinking about replacing all 3 Heidenhains with something like Gecko G320x or G340 drivers. Is that a reasonable thing to do? Will Gecko drives handle the Bridgeport ...

I did a search, but could not find what i was looking for. If following all laws about length, and having access to a Bridgeport mill, plasma cutter, welders of all types and most any other tool you could think of at work, What would be the problems one could encounter cutting, say a SKS barrel ? I am sure someplace like Brownells would carry ,what a mill bit, for recrowning. Can anyone direct me to...
