Hi Mama's- I'm mostly a lurker but have gotten so much good info from you all and this board and I'm so thankful for that. I'm just curious as I'm often asked if I breastfeed and I automatically say yes, because I think the health benefit of BM alone whether it is from a bottle or right out of the tap (LOL) is the same. But as conversations go on and people discover I EP, I ALWAYS get asked ...

A DISTURBING new doll that lets young girls pretend to BREASTFEED has been criticised by The Royal College of Midwives. Spanish toymaker Berjuan has launched the bizarre toy that comes with a special top to feed your 'baby'. The Bebe Gloton meaning greedy baby has already sparked outrage among parents. They condemned the bra-like halter top featuring symbolic flowers instead of nipples. ...

I don't have any children yet, and after 2 years TTC, I am on a break, but when I think about not being able to have biological children possibly it breaks my heart, for obvious reasons but one reason that I just can't explain is my desire to breast feed my children. I just view this as such a bonding experience that I fear I may never experience, I often wonder if that is why my desire to do ...

I've given some thought to this, because at first I wasn't sure how I felt about it! Regardless of cultural differences, and whether mothers should be able to breastfeed their babies in public, I am not happy with it - and the only reason is, - what is happening to 'imagination' these days! So many toys etc now seem to take away imagination - everything has to be so realistic - why? Pretend ...

I think it's a preference like anything else, so yes, I'm sure some are born with the desire while others (like myself) are not. Sore, chaffing, bleeding and cracked nipples aren't my desire lol. Tried with DD, no go. ETA: I don't think it's gross or anything. I understand the desire and how you would feel like you missed something! It's not wrong at all. Just not a personal preference for ...

Don't feel guilty..I know it is easier said than done. But if you both are happier, then go with it. I think there is too much pressure on moms to breast feed and have a natural birth. Your a great mom to do what is best for your LO
