I try and only eat bread and other wheat products on weekends cos I found I was geting really bloated cos I was eating loads of it but now I seem to be okish. Why is bread 'the enemy' does it make you gain pounds or just make you flabby/bloated? I've never really understood this?

Has anyone heard about this? Wheat bread relabeled and marketed as gluten-free...see http://thegfcfcookbook.blogspot.com/...nightmare.h tml Scary! I would think this guy could be sued for food labeling fraud at the very least... -Razzle Gluten Sensitivity; GF since 7/05

Judy, Ashley doesn't like whole wheat bread either, but she'll eat this. So will the Princess, who only likes squishy soft white bread, so maybe you can convert Bill. Then again, maybe not, maybe you'll get to eat it all yourself, which isn't an entirely bad thing. Annie

I made this, well my own version of it, tonight and when I make it with ALL regular COW (vs. some whole grain) it is SO much like regular French bread it is REALLY SCARY! It rose so high it stuck to the top of the bread machine. It is light and fluffy and crusty on the outside...it is superb...and therefore very dangerous!!! I play around with my basic French bread recipe that I used to make with...

Make your own bread. I spent a lot of time learning the skills to make really good bread by hand, but to make a truly excellent loaf takes a lot of time, and what started out as an almost obsessive passion, I just can't be arsed with anymore. Why? Because although I absolutely love baking, I don't actually like bread as much as I thought I did. And I don't really get the opportunity to ...
