I was in the Mall and felt this shrap pain tightening on the right side of my tummy. OB said it was probably Braxton hicks. I'm almost 28 weeks. Tell me about your first Braxton Hicks experience and what you thought at the time.

I'm 36wks and 6 days. My BH contraction have become more intense and more frequent, especially at night. I wake up every hour with one and they won't stop until I sit up. I'm ready for this to be the real thing!

They started around 6:30 this morning and have been mild but very close together. Called the Dr. and they said at this point they wouldn't do anything to stop me if I was really in labor. They seem to be staying about the same intensity, but tapering off a bit, so I don't think this is the real deal. Still, I'm not ready, so I'm trying to pack bags in between resting and drinking lots. I saw a ...

Well, I have officially experience BH contractions. And it FREAKED me out. They didn't hurt at all, but they were really, really uncomfortable. It felt like my entire uterus/abdomen region was just getting SUPER tight. You could bounce a penny off my belly it was that tight. They only lasted for like 20 seconds, but they were happening like 5 an hour so I had to go into L and D so they ...

I am nearly 33 weeks pregnant with my first baby and have been having very regular braxton hicks contractions (6-10 + per hour) that seem to last longer than a couple of minutes. I read somewhere that if you have more than four an hour lasting longer than 2 mins each, that you should seek medical attention - what would you do??? They seem to be getting slightly more intense as the days go by, ...

what do braxton hicks feel like? Im 30wks and i have a cold - one of the weird things thats happening is that my tummy keeps going rock solid, seemingly with no cause. It kinda rises from where my bump normally sits and then it feels like concrete - after 2 mins or so my tummy is back to its squidgy self. It doesnt exactly hurt - its more like my tummy feels really really tight. Is this a ...

I've only ever had one or 2 at about 20 weeks.... but at every scan from 16 weeks our baby has been head down, so i'm presuming she's planning on staying there as i'm now 27+ weeks and shes still head down! Are braxton hicks caused by baby lying transverse?? xx
