First time for me racing at Bourton-on-the-Water, but I know it well and it's a beautiful place to chill. It's a fast, f lat course too, so has great PB potential! I note this popular event is already over 60% full as at 28th November. If anyone's still undecided, it's probably best to get in now before it's too late. I think this sold out months in advanace in the previous few years too and ...

I'll have to remember to check out your pictures when I get home. Photobucket is blocked on the computers here. I had the priviledge of visiting Bourton on the Water and the Cotswold around 1980. I have a ton of pictures from the trip. Gotta find a way to scan old 35mm slides. I was there with the USAF visiting RAF Fairford. Really enjoyed the visit.

#3 BOURTON on the WATER Bourton-on-the-Water is a village in Gloucestershire, England in the Cotswolds area. It is known as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds' because of the bridge-spanned stream that runs through the village . Bourton has a number of tourist attractions: The River Windrush is spanned by several attractive small road and footbridges. During the summer...
One night in Bath is enough time - there is a lot to do but it is a compact city. I know the Cotswolds quite well because I run a classic car hire company in the area. Moreton in Marsh is a very good base as you are close to Stow, Bourton, the Slaughters and Broadway so there is a lot to see without hours of travelling. The Old Schoolhouse is excellent and a lot of my customers ...

Bibury is lovely, but if you are going in the winter you could also consider Bourton. Nightmare in the summer with thousands of visitors, but winters are quiet.
