I am looking for some advice. I take my new 2009 subie on some dirt roads and although it performs very well i find myself bottoming out if i go too fast (not that fast really) and sometimes feel like the suspension is a bit too soft. I have been looking at different options, from small lifts, and changing the tires but i am wondering if there are any spring/shocks options for the forester. I ...

Drive shaft bottoming out My brother-in-law has a 95 ext. cab, linked, but when aired out the drive shaft is pulling out at the carrier bearing, and is holding it up.

Many indicators on the chart are bottoming out and curling up. This is signalling a reverse trend pattern. I think we will move up from this range and retest .018. In the meantime , it is trading sideways and a good buying opportunity.

Broke a bottoming tap cleaning the head bolt threads in the block. Main problem is that the end is about 3.5 inches below the deck surface. I couldn't find a tap long enough, so I welded the tap on the end of an old head bolt to make it longer. Unfortunately it did not break off at the weld, but below at the bottom of the "square" drive. What's left is the circular part of the tap and the ...

Alright fellas this is a question that probably can't be answered unless the person giving the answer has driven where I live but I'll give'er a shot. I'm planning on getting a c4 (someday), and I worry about bottoming it out. The roads where I live aren't stellar, but they're not to horrible. I have seen a few vettes of different years (c3-c6) where I live so it must not be too ...

U.S. Dollar Bottoming: A Turn in the Risk Trade? Recently, I've highlighted non-confirmations in the stock market, as new stock highs in the large cap indexes were not followed by highs among small caps and many stock sectors. What we also see is that the recent highs in large cap stocks have not been followed by new dollar lows against the euro (top chart), yen (second chart from top), Canadian ...

Familiar bottoming pattern is forming for this stock. Look at the chart. It is a pattern that has numerous times preceded a significant run up characterized by higher support levels for several days prior to launch. Watch for volume spike.

Help!! My son's Reba's (Dual Air SL) have "seized" towards the end of the travel. I have checked the positive and neg pressure, I've even completely removed the motion control unit and it still stops about 20 - 30cm short of the full travel - so it looks like the problem is in the "air" side? In addition not all of the “leg” is showing, even if I increase the positive pressure (...

Hi all, I bought a 2001 toled tdi a couple of months ago and soon noticed the rear underside can scrape when turning up steep hills unless the speed is kept low. However, I had a full complement of passengers the other night and was surprised to hear the scraping noise when going over smaller bumps in the road and on bumpy bits of a twisty country road. Is this normal for a Toledo? ...

Remove all Advertisements My wife currently has an 02 xr100 that she is very happy with except for the suspension bottoming. We don't race, but our only riding is mx tracks. I am wondering if it would be a waste to re spring the bike, knowing it would still be poor but stiffer suspension and the same old drum brakes. She had a cr80 ...

Remove all Advertisements I am tired of bottoming out the suspension of my 650L on jumps (yea, I know, they aren't suppose to do that). I have been thinking about getting a stiffer spring for the rear shock. The stock rear spring rate in 10.50, and Eibach sells stiffer springs at 11, 11.5, 12, and 12.5. I weigh about 165 without gear, and about ...

Land Rig Count On The Rise After bottoming in early June at 823 rigs, the Lower 48 land rig count has been creeping steadily higher, adding an average of 10 rigs per week, and now stands about 29% (241 rigs) above the nadir. While the recovery certainly gives drilling contractors something to be thankful for this season, the industry still has a good amount of idle capacity to deal with ...

Last season I was having trouble with my front end. I was bottoming out on dips and if I nailed it and got good traction the front end would stretch the suspension and come down hard on the pan. I was told I needed stiffer shocks and taller bumpstops due to the rake of my car having 15" wheels in back 14" in front. I was quoted 400 for shocks, bumpstops and install. I am thinking that coilovers ...
