I am helping my sister-in-law liquidate my brothers belongings. We came across this borescope unopened from U.S. industrial tool. It is a flex-lite brand. After looking it up on the U.S. tool site I found it retailed for $399. Open to offers. I can email pictures of the Borescope kit. my email is johnimartini@hotmail.com

Does anyone know if, on a 12 valve, you can use a borescope to see if the pin has moved? I read on here on another post that you could through the hole where the IP goes, but how about the oil fill neck? It sure would be nice to take a peek before tearing things down.

I'm in the market for a borescope. I'm thinking about one with approx. a 2' shaft, maybe an angled mirror attachment, maybe an articulating shaft? Something to look into a cylinder thru the spark plug hole to see the valves and piston top, or down an intake runner (after the carb is removed) to check gasket alignment, etc. Something worth buying, but not stupidly expensive? http...

I have been using a hawkeye borescope for about 11 years now in my shop to inspect rifle barrels. Does anyone else make cameras for the hawkeye? Called Hawkeye today their setup is 3,500. I just want to use a video monitor to look at the bore instead of the eyepiece, Or would I be better off getting another borescope set up for this? Any recommendations?...

aka: "Journey to the Center of Bill's '68 Suspension Pan". For orientation, the borescope was inserted thru a rust hole on the left side (the suspension mount itself was solid and the pan had been replaced at some point). It continues through the box section between the front suspension T-bar pivot points. Note the leakage on the left side at the seam between the pan and tank support. ...

Groan... Here in balmy Virginia we have a forecast for up to ONE FOOT of snow over the next 24 hours. I lived in central New York for 30 years so I am used to it, but it's also why I moved back down here - to get away from it! And BTW, I think you would need some kind of borescope to tell, but if that stray piece of metal in the cylinder was a part of a ring, I think you would find a segment of ...

I have had no luck finding a local repair shop. I have to leave the horn at a music shop where the repair shop picks up and delivers from another town a couple of hours away. The repair shop has a website but I have not gotten any response to e-mail contact. The number three valve appears to need that rotational alignment you mentioned but I can only see the port from one side it may not be as ...

Dustin - We use technical search to augment and confirm our canine search arm, and the main problem is that the vast majority of "Search Robots" proposed have very little ability to search an actual incident site - they are designed in classrooms for use on relatively flat stable surfaces. How could this possibly maneuver into or through a collapse site? And "throwable"? So, you throw this ...

You've got to understand, there are six little independent engines (cylinders) out there, running one common prop. Every time you talk them, it is useful to remind yourself of this fact. Let's say you are a little clumsy, and fumble a spark plug during a change? Just a little fumble, maybe you drop it ...

Re: What's wrong with it? Help! Mine was doing the same thing for about a month. Losing coolant, trying to overheat, misfiring. I used a borescope to look into the cylinders and found a crack between the intake and exhaust valves on the #4 cylinder. When I took that one off, I took the other one to the machine shop along with the junkyard head i got, and it turns out the ...
