As the title says. Basically, during bootup my keyboard will not work. I know that the generally suggested option would be to enable Legacy USB support through BIOS, but I can't even get into BIOS. The keyboard's disabled during POST as well. That, and this is a semi-recent problem. I was able to use my keyboard during bootup in the past, like for going into Safe Mode so I can use Driver Sweeper ...

Hello, I'm sorry for a long post, but I feel that the background info is necessary. I have an HP a6130n, and I was having an issue with the system bootup. When the computer would power on, the HP Invent splash screen would display as normal with the usual options on the bottom, but the PC would never continue on past this point. I tried leaving it on for hours and it never continued. I ...

A dialog popping up with a 10 sec count down on it asking if we want our system files scanned after a bootup. If your installing microsoft updates or something else that requires multible boots, theres no need for a rescan of system files on each boot. Also if you know there clean, then theres no reason to scan them again either.

Ok, so first off, I apologize if this is in the wrong section. Second, I don't remember all the specs on my laptop since its been so long since I've messed with it. Again today Windows 7 fails to boot 5 times on my notebook Compaq Presario CQ50. Even Startup Repair fails to complete a boot and reboots the machine. On the other hand Ubuntu boots all the time every time the first time. That make Windows7 a useless fukking piece of $hit. A total waste of fukking time and a total waste of fukking money.

So i recently installed Windows 7 on my HP dv6000 laptop. Installation went smoothly, I did the custom upgrade option from Vista to 7 (it made that windows.old file instead of saving all my files). I deleted the windows.old file. Now the problem starts when my windows randomly just freezes where nothing works and the only way to get out is a manual restart via Power button. But when the computer...

I have set the scheduled time for a scan to be at a convenient time when the computer is not being used. However, each time i've booted the computer the full scan starts up, and it taking several hours to complete. Obviously, I can manually stop the scan, but, I shouldn't have to do that. How can I make it only scan at the scheduled time? 1 person needs an answer I do too
