Hi, I have a Compaq A900 Presario which died last week suddenly. When I tried to start it, it was completely gone. I have a DVD I burned off the MSNDAA website's ISO. The dvd seemingly reads fine while in OSX and it even showsup as a bootable option when I restart holding OPTION. want to create a bootable cd with ghost32.exe on it. i want to boot into windows. i want to put ghost32.exe on it, and boot from the cd into windows xp and run ghost32.exe. i want to use it on an otherwise unbootable xp sp2 computer . suggestions ? i tried bartpe boots ok can't figure out how to add ghost32.exe

I've had my macbook pro for about to month now. I've had not problems with it until today. Every time my computer is restart I get the message "No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key" I have to restart hold down the option key to select my hard drive... How do I get rid of this message?

I need to create a bootable usb flashdrive to update my BIOS. I notice some of the antivirus vendors have bootable ISO images of their antivirus software available, but the virus definitions are usually out of date. I would like to know how do I make an ISO, edit the definitions to the latest and then burn the ISO back to another CD so I can boot off it and clean a PC that is infected before it has a chance to boot Windows up and load the viruses again....

Just bought a 1tb sata hd. I have many sata ports on my m'board. (asus p5AD2prem)I cant boot from the sata drive unless i have my old IDE 80gig drive connected. I have xp on the old one and win7 (valid) on the 1tg drive.Any suggestions?

Hopefully there's a way around this FUBAR sitation that DOESN'T involve reinstalling XP. I also can't use 64-bit on this machine so it seems the DVD I have (Pro upgrade 64-bit) is not bootable on this system, so I guess I'd like to just put in the key and have it activate what ever version this machine supports (probably home premium). Should I try my winXP key? Not sure what to do at this ...
