Hello all, We're having a few problems with our combi boiler, and I wanted to post here before bugging my landlord incase it's something really simple! It's not kicking in when we turn the hot taps on, the boiler makes the noise as the hot water gets pulled through, but the gas isn't coming on to make the water hot. It does heat up if we turn the central heating on, but obviously it's ...

This is not my problem, its a problem my dad is having. They had a gas engineer out from ideal boilers on Christmas eve to replace a part. I doing so, they broke broke a part of the boiler (never brute force plumbing and the like!!). He did tell us that he had done it, and that had it not been christmas eve he would have been able to fix it and that we should call on the Monday and that ...

Hi all.. I own a tenanted cottage, which currently has a knackered back boiler as its method of heating and DHW. I was thinking of having a 'boiler-in-a-box' installed, as the least invasive solution? Can the experts give me some pro's and con's for such a plan?? TIA tim.

Our old Thorn ODY-3 oil boiler has been playing up in the recent cold weather. On a couple of the coldest mornings we have woken to a cold house and found the boiler locked out. After 2 or 3 attempts it will reset and run fine all day. I have set the programmable room stat so it has been working all night and then it is fine in the morning so it only seems to happen when it has ...

About to fit a new c.h. boiler(combi) can anyone suggest anywhere to research making the best choice of manufacturer, not just the boiler but after sales service also. We currently have a Vokera which is ok but still breaks down at least once a year despite regular servicing & Vokera are a bit hitty/missy where repairs are concerned, sometimes they do their own, sometimes send contractors. Also...

Is there any reason (beyond cost) not to start out with a low pressure steam-boiler that is twice as large as you need? Let's say large enough for a 20bbl brewhouse but will start out being used on a 10bbl?

Hey Guys, newbe to site, Looks great, gonna dig deeper and check out. Anyway: I just installed a new boiler. The water pressure is between 25-30 psi. Too close to max 30. Isolated autofill valve to eliminate that. Still climbs. Any ideas??? Also Boiler seems to loose temp rapidly. Approx. 10 deg. in 15 Min. causing boiler to cycle because of 10 deg. differential on high limit. Wondering if this ...
