Blue Smoke at start up? Well I have an 88 gxl and ive noticed that if I let the car sit for a few days it will not start due to it flooding out. When ever I start it each morning I see that it smokes a really light blue tinted color for about a minute and then it will stop and almost no smoke will come from ...

Hello everyone.... My statement followed by a question is: Recently I noticed that when my T type is at idle (in park) and I push the accelerator and then let off, I notice a slight plume of blue smoke exit the tail pipes on deceleration. Can anyone possibly steer me in the right direction and advise me if I need to be concerned? All help is appreciated... Just for the record, I put a new ...

White/Blue smoke coming from exhaust? It smells like oil burning. It only happens sometimes, not very consistent and usually only happens if let's say I have the fuel pump relay out and have to turn the car over several times to get it to start after it's reinstalled. Compression is good, 150+ across the board. Turbo only has minimal shaft ...

my td cav has started to pour out blue smoke, there was a bit of blue smoke mixed with black smoke for a while but i put it down to the pump being turned up. yesterday i got a 2" cat back straight thru exhaust fitted and the blue smoke was worse esp on boost, started the car today and its like a train, on hard acceleration it leaves a massive cloud of smoke and when you stop ...

Blue smoke and rough run 97 E300D starts and runs perfectly when cold, after running 5 minutes there will be a short power burst, blue smoke will begin at the tail pipe and running will roughen. Smoke and rough running are then present more than not, although may run for 75 miles normally and cleanly. At ...

I own a 1998 Volvo V70 (AWD) with 145,000 miles. The breather box was recently replaced (because the mechanic suggested this should be done). I should mention that before this work was done, the car ran fine, absolutely no problems, but I took the mechanic's advice figuring it was the prudent thing to do. About a week after the breather box was replaced, I noticed that the car was leaking quite a...

The car is a 96M with about 216k miles. Mods are intake and exhaust. It runs fine for the most part. It burns oil like an RX-8, and lately it has started smoking at startup. It looks like blue smoke. This only happens at the first start of the morning, when the car has been sitting for several hours. I did have an overheating incident a couple of weeks ago. Oil from a leaking CAS weakened ...

What you do is your choice. There is no guarantee that the seals are the problem. But it will not magically get better if you do nothing. The parts are not that expensive. If you have some automotive work experience, it isn't that tough to do. Very hard to determine how serious the issue is without examining the car and seeing it in person.
yea its fixable £60 to get the turbo fitted, was going to get a bleed valve and boost gauge and up the boost before this happened so i dont think ill bother now lol. heres the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDttTzi7f0I

Find out what the normal output of the sensor is supposed to be and solder together a resistor with the correct normal operational voltage. Get the pinout of the clip as well so you know where power and ground are, and find some pins to make your own sensor dummy or just solder it inline. I dont see why that woulden't work. Similar to the O2 sensor fix.

That code is an Injector Circuit Malfunction which seems strange for a diesel. Check it with a friends scanner if you can and see if it pulls up a different code. If it doesn't....have you had any electrical gliches lately? Shutdown while driving? Losing dash lights or no ignition? Delayed shutdown?

Thanks for all of your guys advise . I will try to diagnose the wiring from the idm to the valve cover harness to the under vc harness . I didn't see any probems in the under valve cover harness while I had the injectors out but I know they are known to wick oil into harness. I have already replaced the outside valve cover harness plugs and pins due to the old wires were loose and could ...
