Hi, I recently went in for the bloodwork that gets done day 3 of your cycle and though most of it came back normal, one hormone, DHEA, came back elevated. Initially, the doc thought it was a fluke and re-tested but the same results came back. FSH, LH, etc were all within normal range but DHEA was elevated. They did not think that it was something that would prevent me from conveiving but they...

I'm 29 years old and recently stopped the birth control pill after being on it for 12 years. I am 2 weeks late for starting my mentrual period and have had several negative pregnancy tests. I recently had my bloodwork checked and my FSH is 37 and my LH is 17. I was unable to have it done on the 3rd day of my cycle because I am still awaiting to have by period. I was wondering with those ...

At DD's 12 month, her Ped gave is a slip to go to a lab and have her blood drawn to check her iorn levels. I would think that a finger prick would be able to tell her iron levels...? This is what I have when I go to the GYN for my checkups. I can't imagine taking her to get blood drawn. She eats well - loves veggies and soybeans, eats some meat, loves lentils. I don't want to jeopardize...

Last month I went to the DR concerned about not ovulating because my cycle was 45 days long, he wasn't concerned but did some blood work. Said my results all came back normal, said he tested all my hormones and tyriod. He did not go into detail so I don't know what hormones were tests and if it mattered what CD I was at. Are they only valid for that month ? If I'm at normal hormone levels does ...

I have hyperthyroidism due to Graves Disease. I saw my endo this morning for my routine checkup and because my periods are not regular like they were before I had my son, and we're TTC #2, she wants to send me for BW just to make sure everything is OK. She wrote the order for prolactin, FSH and LH. I asked if I should go at a certain point during my cycle and she said I should try for CD 1 or...

I was just wondering, I've done 10+ hpt 's all showing a positive result and I have my first appointment with the midwife in a couple weeks. Should I go see my family doctor first and get bloodwork done to confirm? Besides a blood test for pregnancy are there other test the dr. might do that I should have done before going to the midwife? Thanks in advance for all help and advice.

Last thurs, I went to my endocrinologist for a routine visit. Everything was great but my b/p was high...so I called my OB. They made me come in for a recheck and my bp was still high (142/80 when Im usually 115/65). They did bloodwork and a 24hour urine test for protein. I went back for followup today and my bp is a bit better but I failed the 24hr and the dipstick in the office came up really...

Hi all, just thought i would post a follow up. I'm doing okay...finally had my 2nd visit w/ my doctor & went over bloodwork results. my cd4 count is 382 and my viral load is 48,000. I will be starting meds in a month--doc wants to wait for the resistance tests to make sure my virus doesn't have resistance to any of the meds. And he wants to give me a few weeks to look into some of ...
