My friend ran her t2002 tdi empty and coasted into the fuel station. Added diesel and it won't start. She said that it had happened once before and she ended up taking it to the stealership and they had to "bleed the air" out the injectors. Questions: 1 Is bleeding the system necessary? or is there another option? 2. can you remove the fuel filter, fill it with diesel, and then start it up, ...

A few months ago when I flew a Delta GE powered 767-300ER from JFK - ATL , I noticed while at the gate that engine #1 was "windmilling". I also noticed that engine #2 did not move at all and it was not a windy day, and aircraft at other gates were not windmilling either. What I came to notice as I boarded and sat forward of the engine was that #1 was spinning at a continuous speed as you...

Quoting 747classic ( Reply 25 ): After engine stabilization in ground idle it's normal airmen-ship to check the engine parameters, incl N1. This has nothing to do with automatic or manual starting. So you only react after an ECAM message is displayed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ment during the start sequence! Of course at ground idle i check all the parameters and make sure ...

Hi, I wounder if anyone could help me, yesterday I replaced the hydrolic pump that operates the ACS gear box on my A-Class now I've put in the replacement pump the dread F sign in the dash board seemed to have disappeared but my gears are locked down (i.e. I cannot select a gear when the engine is running). I did spend some time yesterday trying to bleed the system out any air, at one ...

Hi How did you get on with this ? Did bleeding system solved the problem? How did you bleed ? My A170 has just had gearbox replaced as the old one was very noisy. Car before gearbox change was running fine (only noisy). Now I have done the replacement at friend of mine, who did everything but is not sure how to properly bleed the clutch. There is apparently a valve on the gearbox, but ...

I am changing my coolant right now. Got all the old flushed, and getting ready to refill with Engine Ice. Pulling the dain plug on the water pump drains all coolant/water right??? It has been a long time since I have done this so I am kinda unsure on a few things.. The air bleeder on the water pump housing... do I crack that open while the engine is running at temp to bleed out air, or do I...

The bleeder doesn't seem to work on this bike, but I've used it effectively on others. I just fill it up, let sit for 20 mins, fill again, run till hot, fill once cool and check it whenever I think about it.

Simple question - on the CJ series, is windshield bleed air fed to the inside or outside (or both) of the windshield? I can't find a definitive answer anywhere in the Flight Safety blah. At one point the manual says that interior noise increases when bleed air is used (suggesting nozzles are on the inside) and at another point it says that pulling the rain deflector vanes will be more difficult ...
