I posted this question on the DVD SP forum yesterday, but nobody responded. I hope somebody here knows the answer: While buring my DVD on a MacBook Pro, a window popped up saying, "Formatting Failed: Building was not successful. See log." The log says "Video bitrate too high." It's DV content. It's only 2.6GB. How can I correct this problem? I did go to Preferences and ...

aws910 writes "According to an article on the BBC website, BBC HD lowered the bitrate of their broadcasts by almost 50% and are surprised that users noticed. From the article: 'The replacement encoders work at a bitrate of 9.7Mbps (megabits per second), while their predecessors worked at 16Mbps, the standard for other broadcasters.' The BBC claims 'We did extensive testing on the new encoders ...

FCP on one of our systems seems to be reading certain audio files as the wrong bitrate. Audio files we've used for years suddenly have shown up with a green bar indicating a different bitrate from the sequence settings. However, the correct bitrate appears in the information window within FCP and matches the sequence settings. Repairing permissions seemed to fix some of the audio files ...

I had a problem with a DVD Architect error so I downloaded the Bitrate calculator and put in my settings (very simple, a 50 minute video with no menus, etc) and it came up with a CBR of 9800. My question is that in the posts I am reading the bitrates are closer to the 9 millions, not 9,800. Am I doing something wrong?

Bitrate changes automatically to 48kbps/aac often Im experimenting an issue with the shoutcast DSP. Using latest version of winamp and shoutcast dsp 1.91. I doesnt happens with all the computers. Some computers broadcast fine with the current bitrate they have assigned. But in other cases the bitrate changes automatically to 48kbps aac+. What could be causing this weird ...

Relaying a stream at a set bitrate Hi, I'm looking to set up a relay server. The way i want it is as follows: presenters stream to server A server B relays server A, but at a set bitrate, say 128kbps. The reason being so presenters can broadcast to stream A at say 96kbps, then 128kbps without causing any problems. Is this possible at all?...

Hi NG, I hope not to be OT. Given a TCP stream from node A to node B (in terms of [SRCIP:SRCPORT - DSTIP STPORT], I'd like to know at a given time T the number of bytes sent (since the link setup time, up to time T) by querying some fs or kernel struct. Is this possible? (if so how?) Thanks

hello! i want to encode my 56min movie for make sd DVD max quality (i use m2v via compressor direct from FCP). Usually i choose best 90 min(default setup from compressor). but there is still space on the dvd almost 1 Giga . My question is can i increase the quality of it ? maybe by increasing the vbr ?? or use cbr ??, i know that we canot use more than 7mb/s at the max i think ?. Or ...

All the music on my ol' brownie Zune 30 comes from either a CD or a lossless digital file (FLAC, SHN, APE). I use dbpoweramp for converting, and right now my collection is converted to 320kbps mp3 for use on the Zune. A lot of what I listen to is classical and ROIO's (especially Pink Floyd), so tracks in excess of 20min in length are common. While I'm plenty fine with the SQ from the 320kbps ...

criteria: 1. post your model # 2. post what type of file + bitrate you're playing try to keep it as constant as possible: ex) mp3 - 320kbps use the repeat song song if your filetype/bitrate is all over the place 3. volume 4. battery life 5. headphones (?), will probably affect differently, so post what headphones you used - this is what you do before hand, drain the rest of the battery,...
