Hello, I was just informed by my pharmacy that my thyroid hormone, Synthroid, and my birth control pills can interact and that I need to take my birth control 4 hours after my Synthroid. I was just wondering if anyone knew which medicine's effectiveness is affected by this interaction. And I'm a little distraught over this because I just take all my medicines in the morning because that's the ...

Quote: Mosquito bites can be deadly. Anopheles mosquitoes carry the parasite that causes malaria, a disease which kills around a million people every year. Traditionally mosquito populations have been controlled by pesticides. But scientists at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) are working on another method - using radiation to sterilize male mosquitoes....

Hi All, So DS is almost 15months. We are still nursing 2-4 times per day... but I know my milk is running low (and pretty much gone on my right side). He won't "nurse" if there isn't any milk there. So... I think we may be nearing the end. I am on the mini-pill right now, and still haven't had a post partum period. I worry about what I should do for birth control as we near the end ...

Please ladies tell me your opinion on the mirena good and bad. Did many of you have weight gain problems or other problems?! Just curious! I may be getting one, but want to know opinions first. I have done research on it, but I am still debating!

I was just wondering if anyone in here is on any kind of Birth Control plan,or had surgery to prevent it, anything to do with it? I have trying to decide what we should do after this pregnancy if everything works out. I dont think more children are able to be in my near future since my kindeys are damaged from diabetes. I am pretty scared. But I am not liking the research on all the BC Pills ...

I know that HRT caused dense breasts in me when i started taking it at the age of 68. It evolved over 3.5 years and after getting breast cancer which luckily got infected and saved my life, so far, and then getting rid of the effects of HRT and have my flabby breasts back again. Well, I just wonder now if birth control pills induce extra dense breasts in very young girls.

I take Ortho Tri-Cyclen and it's worked great. My issues aren't involved with the bc itself. My husband and I will have been married for a year at the end of this month. We've been facing some financial difficulties like the rest of Americans. My husband is in the Navy, but due to some miscommunications we received concerning our insurance, my birth control is not covered yet (as far as ...

I was diagnosed with Stage I invasive ductal brest cancer (neg nodes) 3 months ago and have recovered from the lumpectomy and finished radiation. I am 48 and still pre-menopausal so my oncologist wants me to start on Tamoxifen. My husband and I had some issues with infertility in the past with our last son (age 15) being conceived with the help of ...

After running 5 months of aggressive PCT earlier this year, ending in June, and running a very heavy cycle since then, my wife is pregnant, again. My previous cycle had run for nearly 2 years. I was sure that a pregnancy would not be an issue, but both of my children have now been conceived while I was on cycle . The doc said a man only needs a sperm count of 3 - 5 million to do the ...

I have a tentative (tentative being 90% for sure, just barring a bone scan that the surgeon is confident will come back normal) OR date of Feb 1. Due to the risk of blood clots, my surgeon gave me two options as far as birth control goes: either go off of it now to give my body 2 months to clear it out, or have shots everyday for 2 weeks following the surgery. My problem: First off, I'm ...

How long does it take for the pill to balance hormones? I have heard of women who stopped taking it for five or seven years and all the symptoms they had before came back, such as excessive facial hair and hair in other places that women should not have in large amounts or have at all. Can this occur and is this something one has to take for many years? Also, what would happen if women ...
