I remember reading somewhere that McGill was good for undergraduate Physics. I was wondering though, is McGill good for other life sciences such as Biochemistry? Is UBC or UofT stronger for UNDERGRADUATE life sciences Biochem program than McGill?
Hey to those who have taken part I, what's the best way to go about studying for Biochem in a relatively short amount of time you think? Just decks... or should I use Kaplan or what? I've read on here several times that USMLE First Aid Biochem is good too.. any suggestions from those who have endured this awful experience? thanks!

I have a question, as I'm sitting here planning my junior and senior year I saw a thread somewhere(of course now I can't find it ) that said most vet schools require that the biochem class you take have orgo as a pre-req. I'm slightly confused because at my school i don't think orgo is a pre-req for biochem but orgo is a 200 level class and biochem is a 300 level. So will this look like orgo was...

I have a question, right now I am doing a biochem major and I am standing at a 2.7 gpa for my midterms. I know that my gpa right now wont give me a fighting chance to get into med school. Would it be better to just to a Biology Major? I am a freshmen at Gustavus Adolphus college 1 second ago - 4 days left to answer.

Our members don't see this ad. I ran a search on the shelf to see what past experiences were, but was hoping for some information that was a little more up to date. So far I found the following suggestions: -watch PASS videos -do USMLE World questions -read Lippencott's all the way through Does anyone have additional advice/comments?

I am narrowing down my choices for grad school, and am looking for guidance beyond my professors. My main interests are in biochemistry and geochemistry and I will be applying to departments that have research groups that align with me. I did poorly on the GRE and think that some of my choices may be out of reach. I am graduating in December in chemistry at the U of Utah with about a 3.8 ...

I have yet to take physical chemistry, but I'm trying to understand my biochem class from the basis of thermodynamics and energy changes. So if someone could answer the following questions in small words, it would be greatly appreciated. And if you can't answer all of them, whatever you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I always assumed that bond strength was dependent on the potential ...

Is working (on actual projects) at a very honored biochem lab (2 summers as full time, and two years part time) (at a distinguished school) an excellent EC or just average?

When we beat HIV we should thereafter be able to conquer colds in about a month. First things first, eh. HIV! I can recall when Biochem came up with 3TC-AZT - their shares went crazy. That was the first nail in HIV's coffin (1996) - we shall complete the job. I love 'crazy'! Ref: http://www.encyclopedia.com/doc/1G1-18490237.html
